Scientists and detectives work together in the brand new forensics lab in the border city of Juarez to uncover the identities of countless victims. From 2008 to 2011, two drug cartels battled for control of Ciudad Juarez, and thousands of people were slaughtered during the four year period. In order to solve these violent crimes, especially the feminicides, and in response to pressure by the hundreds of families demanding an explanation, Mexico’s government invested millions of dollars and created a forensics center equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories and technology.

Throughout this program, viewers are given exclusive access to these labs and will witness the city’s forensic team’s tireless work. They study the recovered bones of 11 women who were found in Juarez Valley, 25 miles south of the United States border, once again garnering much-needed attention for the infamous feminicides that occurred in that city.
